The Advanced Treble Ensemble is presenting Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins on Tuesday, April 16 @ 7pm.

This musical work is approximately one hour in length, and is meant to be performed without interruption or applause. The lyrics are purposefully written as syllabic sounds (not actual words). In Karl Jenkins’ own words, “it was my intention that the vocal sounds should be more akin to those heard in ethnic or world music.” The rhythmic drumming and close vocal harmonies are accompanied by members of the ZHS band program and the Advanced String Chamber Ensemble.

This is a unique musical work that is sure to be a memorable experience. Donations of $5-10 will support scholarships for students who will study music, dance or drama this summer and return in the fall to lend strength to the ZPS programs.
